VIAVI Xgig® PCIe Analysis Platform now Supports CXL 3.1
VIAVI was recently approved for CXL 2.0 Gold Suite Compliance Testing by the Compute Express Link (CXL) Consortium®. This certification enables the VIAVI Xgig CXL Exerciser to qualify CXL devices for inclusion in the CXL v2.0 Integrators List.
Now, we are pleased to announce that the Xgig platform also supports the CXL 3.1 specification. AI and ML applications are primary drivers for adoption of CXL 3.1. This specification ensures that data transfer between the CPU and peripherals like accelerators, memory buffers, and smart I/O (input/output) devices is as efficient as possible.
Our Xgig PCIe/CXL solutions will be well represented on the SC24 show floor. In addition to a PCIe 6.0 demonstration in the VIAVI booth, we also will demonstrate CXL 2.0 over a 100-meter optical PCIe link with Samtec and Rambus at the VIAVI pod in the CXL Consortium booth #1807. Another demo, also with Rambus and Samtec, featuring CXL Flit testing over a copper PCIe 6.0 link, will be showcased in Samtec booth #1125.
World’s First 1.6T Lab and Live Ethernet Testing Solution on Display
VIAVI announced and demonstrated the first 1.6Tb/s Ethernet testing platform at ECOC24 last month, and it will also be on display at SC24. Designed for AI workload testing, the award-winning ONE LabPro™ is a high port count, multi-rate Ethernet network performance test system that integrates insightful Physical Layer, FEC and MAC/IP for lab and live testing.
ONE LabPro was designed to provide users with maximum platform versatility and flexibility with a modern, web-based architecture and UI, and a Python-based advanced automation framework. Engineered to scale, the ONE LabPro syncs with up to sixteen 8-port modules – or up to 64 x 1600Gb/s test ports, 128 x 800Gb/s test ports, 256 x 400Gb/s test ports or 1,024 x 100Gb/s test ports – with advanced power and thermal management.
Fiber Inspection, Cleaning and Testing – Essential for High-Speed Network Reliability
Dirty fibers, faulty connectors, non-compliant cables or poor transceiver optical paths can diminish performance of the best network technology. Inefficient testing processes and slow test automation scripts can add time and cost to the manufacturing process.
VIAVI provides versatile inspection, cleaning and testing tools needed in labs and manufacturing facilities for fast and accurate testing to 1.6Tb/s. Key components of our Optical Manufacturing Testing line will be showcased at SC24, including the recently introduced FVAM-2000 benchtop inspection microscope, CleanBlastPRO™, and the industry standard MAP-300 modular testing platform.
High-Speed Testing in the Field
VIAVI field testing equipment is used at SC events to build the cutting-edge SCinet infrastructure which provides internet connectivity for attendees. Field instrumentation, including the OneAdvisor 800, will be on display in the VIAVI SC24 booth.
The OneAdvisor 800 is a field-ready test tool that delivers all the test capabilities technicians and engineers need to install, turn-up, troubleshoot and maintain high-capacity optical networks up to 400G.
