8 years ago I had a studio built at the end of my garden, and the electrician put in power and Cat 5 cable from the house. I have tried to put a second broadband node into it, but it won’t work. I have bought a cable tester and the lights did not go 1-8 as they should. I have taken the wires out of the one in the house and tried to re wire it, but it has grey, orange, blue, brown, green and 5 solid white wires. Has he put the wrong cable in? Am I wasting my time trying to get it to work? I’ve got a far as getting 1,2,3,4,5,7 8 to light in the house one, but can’t get 6, so I’ve pulled them all out to try again, as they were getting too short to work with. The one in the studio had a very different lighting sequence. Any advice greatly appreciated please. Many thanks.
