Is there a way to find a MAC address for a security camera successfully connected to my home WIFI network from the device ID or IP address?
I have contacted the manufacturer and they have indicated that the MAC address should be shown on the “Device Information” screen accessible via the gear icon on the Secur360 app– it is not.
The device information listed gives only the IP address and a 21 digit “Device ID” code.
The phone app successfully interfaces with the camera– but only when MAC authentication is turned off in the WIFI settings.
When I turn on MAC authentication/allow device list the camera gets booted off the system.
I have tried running the “arp -a” command with and without the camera online (with the MAC authentication turned off) and there is no additional device listed when the camera is online.
The manufacturer has no additional suggestions from “MAC should be available on the Device Information” screen.
I want to continue to use the MAC authentication/allow device list feature for WIFI security.
Any suggestions?
